About Kirstin

Hello all !! I'm Kirstin =)

I'm a retail assistant within the clothing section of a leading UK supermarket, not my ideal job but it pays the bills. I have recently turned 26 which is slightly depressing. My family consists of myself, my fiance', my gorgeous little boy and occasionally, my dog Toby who comes for regular sleepovers (when I moved out my parents would of missed us both too much so he stays with them). I come from Scotland and lived my whole life in a little suburb just outside Glasgow which I have recently moved out of when we took a big step and bought our very first house in 2014.

Ribbons and Solitaire. What a strange name I hear you say. Well strangely enough these are two of my favourite things. From the moment I came into this world I have had a thing for Ribbons. I call them labelly things. Like you know the labels you get on the inside of your clothes not the kind of paper ones that are really annoying and sometimes you have to cut them off because they jag into you, I'm talking about the ones that feel kind of silky. Growing up I was regularly seen playing with my label on the inside of my top I think its just a kind of comfort thing. My parents told me I always held onto the labels of my blankets when I was little and rub them to help me fall asleep. Even now I have a ribbon in the pocket of my work fleece, underneath the pillow on my bed, in my dressing gown pocket and most jacket pockets. Sad I know ...
Moving onto Solitaire which is without a doubt my favourite card game. I swear it helps me fall asleep at night. I am the worst person when it comes to sleeping at night. I think I must of been an Owl in a previous life, I'm very nocturnal, I sleep way better during the day than at night. When I struggle to sleep at night all I do is open the Solitaire app on my phone, play a game or two and within a few minutes I feel my eyes closing. I can get pretty competitive at it as well, I regularly try and beat my times and number of moves.

So what else do I love to do apart from rub ribbons (sounds really strange when I put it like that) and play games of Solitaire .. I love time with my family they mean the world to me. I'm an only child so have always been very close with my mum and dad, My partner is like the son they never had. Another thing I have recently been enjoying is colouring in. It is so therapeutic and very relaxing. Other than that I would say my life is pretty boring. When I am not at work or being a mum (after bedtime) you can regularly find me and my partner having a TV series binging session on Netflix.

For now this blog is purely for me to use like a diary for logging my thoughts and what I have been up to. Maybe in the future this will develop into something a bit more but for now I hope you enjoy what you see.
